Working Together for the Kids

Well, it's been a busy few months here at Kidz Quiltz. We sent quilts and water-proof material to Haiti, sent over 400 quilts to World Vision, and 50 quilts to Mississippi to help the recent tornado victims. We're so thankful for our volunteers who work countless hours in making these quilts for the children. Here are some photos of our recent quilting day.

We had about 20 volunteers busy working on Saturday.

Cutting. Cutting. Cutting.

Sewing. Sewing. Sewing.

Tying. Tying. Tying.

Lyle, our treasurer, opted to work hard on our books instead of quilting today (though Lyle has made his fair share of quilts!).

Blankets for Haiti Work Day

We had a great 'Blankets for Haiti' work day this past Saturday. We worked on 50 quilts that will go to World Vision in hopes of helping with the relief work in Haiti. Thanks to all our volunteers for a great, fun day and making a difference.

Deann, our newest board member is busy tie-tacking a quilt.

Rosie, a board member, shows off the sailboat quilt.

Working hard.

Lots of love goes into these quilts for kids.

This quilt is in the final steps of tie-tacking before it's finished.

Matching Fundraiser !

Exciting News! Until December 10th, an anonymous donor has agreed to match all funds raised for our building up to $5,000! This is incredible. We owe approximately $15,000 on our building we just purchased in September. This would take a big chunk out of that. Our goal is to finish 2009 debt free. Would you please consider helping us reach that goal? Make your tax-deductible gift to Kidz Quiltz and send to the address listed. Call us if you have any questions, (303) 857-8600.
