Working Together for the Kids

Well, it's been a busy few months here at Kidz Quiltz. We sent quilts and water-proof material to Haiti, sent over 400 quilts to World Vision, and 50 quilts to Mississippi to help the recent tornado victims. We're so thankful for our volunteers who work countless hours in making these quilts for the children. Here are some photos of our recent quilting day.

Lyle, our treasurer, opted to work hard on our books instead of quilting today (though Lyle has made his fair share of quilts!).

Water-Proof Canvas on Its Way to Haiti

Kidz Quiltz dropped off over 300 yards of water-proof canvas at Magnalab in Longmont, CO today.

They are collecting only non-perishable goods for the Haiti earthquake victims. All goods collected will be shipped to the International Red Cross in Haiti. For more information, please visit http://haitineeds.com/.

Blankets for Haiti Work Day

We had a great 'Blankets for Haiti' work day this past Saturday. We worked on 50 quilts that will go to World Vision in hopes of helping with the relief work in Haiti. Thanks to all our volunteers for a great, fun day and making a difference.

100 Quilts Sent to World Vision

Kidz Quiltz delivered 100 quilts to World Vision on January 25 in hopes of helping with the relief efforts in Haiti. Thanks to our volunteers for their important work!

Matching Funds Check

Kidz Quiltz wrote a check for $10,000+ to our lender after our matching fundraiser program. Thanks to all who were involved in making this happen.

Exciting News! Until December 10th, an anonymous donor has agreed to match all funds raised for our building up to $5,000! This is incredible. We owe approximately $15,000 on our building we just purchased in September. This would take a big chunk out of that. Our goal is to finish 2009 debt free. We recently purchased and moved into our building. Thanks to all our great volunteers who helped us clean and get things moved in.
